Digital Lightwave Announces New Optical Spectrum Analyzer Modules for NIC Platform
The NIC Is Now the All-in-One Solution for DWDM and 40G Network Deployment

CLEARWATER, Fla. – February 9, 2009--(MarketWire)--Digital Lightwave®, Inc. (OTCBB:DIGL), a leading provider of optical networking test equipment and technology, today announced the availability of Optical Spectrum Analyzer (OSA) modules for the NIC Platform, the OSA 3010, OSA 3020 and OSA 3030. The new OSA modules can also be added to existing NIC Platform products.

The OSA 3030 is a complete C-Band and L-Band testing solution. The OSA 3010 provides a lower-cost solution for C-Band testing while the OSA 3020 supports the L-Band only. The OSA 3010, OSA 3020 and OSA 3030 provide accurate detection of signal level, frequency/wavelength and Optical Signal-to-Noise Ratio (OSNR). Combined with the NIC Platform’s standard easy-to-use graphical interface, remote control capability and free 24-hour technical support, the NIC enables technicians to quickly troubleshoot problems and improve network availability.

Any of the new OSA modules can be configured as a stand-alone physical-layer testing solution or may be combined with additional modules for a complete test solution. An OSA module paired with the MSA 2020 or MSA 2030 module provides SONET/SDH/OTN up to 10.7Gbps with optional Ethernet 10/100/1000BaseT, GigE, 10GigE LAN/WAN/FEC, Fibre Channel, ATM and NextGeneration (VCAT, LCAS, GFP) testing. Other modules available for the NIC Platform can be used to create an integrated solution, including 40/43Gbps, PDH/T-Carrier, Jitter/Wander testing and more for the industry-leading all-in-one DWDM network testing solution.
